Here is a little of what you can expect. Standing Committee Reports from our Green Medians Committee and the Crime Reduction Task Force Green Space Task Force Presentation We will have a short presentation from our Green Space Task Force member Jim Robertson on trails and parks. There has been a lot of progress made recently in connecting trails throughout the area. Jim will be able to give us the very latest information. We are very pleased to have him as a contributing member of our group! Urban Planning Presentation The main presentation for the evening will be from our Urban Planner. Come hear about the process, the importance of your input and the anticipated results of the plan. We need everyone there to hear the information first hand so that you can help spread the word of it's importance in our community. We are geared up and ready to go .... it is your opportunity to have input to planning the future of YOUR community. Education Committee Our educators have been busy. The student summit continues to have amazing results. Come hear the latest. Model Block Committee They have a major announcement about an upcoming 1960 Challenge event. Don't miss it! Sponsorship If you missed our last meeting we rolled out our sponsorship program. We will share that information and bring you an update. Bandit Signs We want to keep the heat turned up about this issue. Please follow this link to a news piece on Channel 13 this past Saturday night http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=local&id=5768523 . As a followup I have made some contacts and confirmed that the information that one of the bandit sign offenders stated in the news cast is INCORRECT. Additionally we have posted a question and answer page on Bandit Signs at our site. http://renaissance1960.org/content/view/85/25/ We hope you find it helpful and that you will pass on the link to anyone who is confused about what the law states and what we as a community should be doing. We will have additional information on this to share at our meeting. Looking for Volunteers As we move forward with our efforts we find we are in need of more help to make the efforts successful. Please come and hear about the opportunities and sign up to help. It takes all of us working together to continue to make a difference. |
