The Renaissance 1960 Corporation is working to create a better area to be enjoyed now and in the future. Recognizing that today's students are the civic leaders of tomorrow Renaissance 1960 Corporatin has formed a partnership with Spring and Klein ISD to provide a forum for input and participation in community redevelopment by highschool students. The 2007 Student Summit provide the intial forum for student input on the future of FM 1960 and the surrounding area. Several meetings have occured with Klein and Spring ISD reps since the Summit on October 10. Projects are being identified that fit the needs of the area revitalization, the student's curriculum and their interests . Project ideas are: - Create a computer database of the area's "inventory" of amenities and challenges;
- Create a photo-record of the area;
- Develop a list of all street names and the block numbers where the street crosses major intersections;
- Participate in and implement a "get the word out" campaign;
