Many of the special amenities you see in other parts of Houston. e.g. Greenspoint, WestChase, Gallaria, downtown, were paid for by a separate entity - their Management District. In some cases they leveraged their limited funds in a partnership with a larger agency’s project. In most cases the projects would not have occured had a management district not been promoting the area and available to be part of the project.

Examples of those improvements are the unique lighting and silver arches in the Galleria area; the landscaped medians in FM-1942 (Westheimer); improved street lights; sidewalks in Greenspoint; wide, new sidewalks in downtown; and the professional ambiance in the Westchase area.
