Born and reared in Houston, Texas, Debbie at an early age understood the importance of fighting for a significant cause mainly due to her father, a Marine veteran who fought on Iwo Jima in World War II.

Debbie was first elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2002, and since that time, she has represented District 150 with strong conservative values.
