Proposed Street Lighting Project 

• Project Description:  Addition of street lights between signalized intersections that are lit by street lights. 
• Purpose:  Add lighting to FM-1960 roadway between signalized intersections where lights are in service. 
• Value:  Lighting will decrease accidents, increase pedestrian safety and decrease crime. 
• Location:  Within the proposed District. See aerial view below for approximate locations of additional street lights mounted on existing poles on a typical portion of FM-1960.
• Potential Partner: CenterPoint Energy 
• Cost: Standard fixture with one feed will be installed at no charge by CenterPoint as required by the Tariff Agreement. District would pay a monthly fee for each light to the chosen power provider.
• Implementation:  Proposed as a first year project.
