Potential Maintenance of METRO Bus Stops

• Project Description: Maintenance of METRO Bus Stops in partnership with METRO.
• Purpose:  Increase the frequency of trash, litter and graffiti removal and begin removal of shopping carts while working with stores to encourage them to better manage the cart retrieval.
• Value:  Improve appearance and give the area an appearance of order.
• Location: At the stops on FM 1960 between I-45 and SH-249 and for 0.25 south of the intersection of Veterans Memorial and FM-1960 and Ella and FM-1960
• Potential Partner: METRO has funded another District to maintain the stops. That District supplements that budget and improves the level and frequency of maintenance. 
  
• Cost: Expense will be for:
• the staff person and vehicle to check the stops to assure subcontractor(s) for trash and graffiti removal are providing the service and;
• subcontractor(s) for trash and graffiti removal.
• Implementation:  Proposed as a first year project.
