Proposed Street Name Signs

• Project Description:  Complete Street Name Sign installations in partnership with Harris County and TxDOT.
• Purpose:  Work with Harris County to install common street name signs at all intersections and side street entrances with block numbers. In addition, mount a campaign to have all businesses install visible address numbers. 
• Value:  Street name signs with a common size, shape and color will provide for an area identity and most importantly aid in EMS locating addresses.
• Location:  Within the proposed district 
• Potential Partner: Harris County 
• Cost: The District would prepare the sign template, prepare the list of streets and block numbers and Harris County will install the sign and poles when necessary.  The District may be able to partner with the County in the actual production of the signs in their sign shop.
• Implementation:  Proposed as a first year project.
