Proposed Operations Program

  • Project:  Develop and Implement Operations Program
  • Purpose:      The Operations Program will be part of the Service Plan and outline the services the district will perform to manage all outside maintenance efforts such as the bus stop maintenance, monitoring street lights staying in service and reporting all other facilities and services by other agencies or area-wide providers that need attention. The area “Watch Dog”.
  • Value:  A few citizens report problems but no agencies can afford someone touring the area spotting their problems. The value of that being someone’s duty is the problems will not remain un-corrected for so long and that leads to a better looking and often safer area.
    Location:  Within the proposed district
  • Potential Partner:  All other agencies and area providers.
  • Typical Services
    •  Photographing and removal of bandit signs and provide report to County Attorney for enforcement;
    • Coordinate maintenance of contractors at gateways and areas such as major intersections where panhandlers leave debris and drivers litter;
    • Report graffiti and coordinate abatement;
    • Report panhandlers and vagrants to law enforcement agencies.
  • Cost:  The development of the plan will be by District Staff in conjunction with volunteers from area businesses and residents and lastly input from the District’s Board of Directors.
  • Implementation:  Proposed as a first year project.
