Proposed Public Relations/Area Marketing Program Project: Develop and implement Public Relations/Area Marketing Program Purpose: The Public Relations/Area Marketing Program will be part of the Service Plan and define actions the District will take to publicize the area and its amenities as providing a quality business and life style. This plan will: address how to leverage media events to the area’s advantage. providing a regularly updated and information intense web site; provide monthly email promotional materials to investors and the real estate industry; provide an area map and brochures in conjunction with the Business Development Plan and; develop and maintain relationships with media representatives to encourage positive coverage and make potentially negative news at least accurate and not dramatic.
Value: The area will benefit from the attention of a group striving to serve all the businesses and other entities that contribute to a quality life style. Other groups work to do that but are also drawn to serve specific members needs and desires and to raise funds to maintain their existence. Location: Market amenities and assets within the proposed district Potential Partners: Print media, TV and new Web 2.0 support organizations. Cost: The development of the plan will be by district staff with input form area businesses, residents and the District’s Board of Directors. The plan approved by that Board will initially be implemented by the Executive Director. Implementation: Proposed as a first year project.
