The projects listed below -- and presented in detail using the links in the menu on the left side of this page -- are offered as potential improvements for consideration by the assessment payers, community and future Board of Directors of the Management District, if it is formed. These are projects that have not been pursued by community organizations due to the far-reaching responsibilities, liabilities or long-term costs. The area covered is also far beyond any one MUD or HOA. There are only two public entities that could undertake all of these and they are the State of Texas and Harris County. Both of them face the same understandable issue that is if they added these amenities to our area they would have to treat other areas the same and that would tremendously raise taxes in their entire service area. We believe that if a management district is NOT formed then these and other much needed area services and improvements will NOT be added. I. Addition of street lights between signalized intersections that have street lights. II. Maintenance of METRO Bus Stops in partnership with METRO. III. Complete Street Name Sign installations in partnership with Harris County and TxDOT. IV. Graffiti Abatement. V. Develop and administer a Green Space Grant Program to assist new tenants or property owners to improve the green space next to the street. VI. Develop and Implement Operations Program. VII. Develop and implement Business Development Program. VIII. Develop and implement Public Relations/Area Marketing Program. NOTES: 1. The project’s service areas are cited here as if the management district extended from US-249 to I-45. If the district is formed then the services could only be provided within the boundaries established by the Legislature. 2. These projects are derived from the many public meetings held by Renaissance 1960, its predecessor and its partners and the experience of members of the Renaissance 1960 team with other successful management districts in the Houston Area. 3. This list is a work-in-progress as given the many astute minds in the over 1,000,000 in this area there are surely other good projects. Renaissance 1960 will continue to encourage everyone to offer ideas and be part of our process. Do you have an idea or want to offer suggestions about the projects list here? Email us at
