The Green Medians Steering Committee, a seperate group of dedicated citizens, is working to partner with TxDOT to landscape the medians that will be built by TxDOT with or without landscaping. Those individuals have been working for the last three years to make the medians green with plants rather than only grey concrete.

The Committee is pursuing the addition to TxDOT's work with the help of the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce. Go to the Chamber's web site and look for links to background information and who to contact about the medians. 

Renaissance 1960 believes landscaping the future medians is an important community project and hopes the Committee will be successful.
