We have more that one police force in our area and their jurisdictions and authority in many cases overlap. That means we have mutliple coverage. But we need to help them as we are often their eyes and ears. Those departments are listed below.


 

Harris County Sheriff's Department - Primarily addresses issues outside the boundary of the City of Houston.

Harris County Constable

Harris County Constable Ron Hickman leads the Precinct 4 Constable's office composed of: the Patrol Division; the Records Division; and the Warrants Division. The area is also served by his specialty units designed to supplement the main Divisions. Those specialty units include:

  • Accident Investigators;
  • Bike Patrol;
  • Family Violence Unit;
  • Honor Guard;
  • K9 Units;
  • Mounted Patrol;
  • Crime Scene Photographers and the
  • Victims Services Unit.

Police Departments of the Independant School Districts - Spring and Klein ISD. They are authorized to address infractions of the law by all adults and minors within the service area of the School Districts in the same manner as the constables and sherriffs.

Spring ISD Police Department

  • Crime Line - 832-764-4900 - The Crime Line enables students, parents, teachers, and staff to provide anonymous tips and information 24 hours a day.
  • Police Chief Alan Bragg directs 50 licensed police officers and "Detective Emmy", a yellow Labrador Retriever.
  • "Detective Emmy" is used to conduct searches capable of detecting marijuana, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamines, alcohol, and gunpowder on all Spring ISD campuses.
  • "Detective Emmy" is also used for demonstrations and crime prevention education programs in the classroom as well as personal appearances at community functions.

Houston Police Department

  • The area patroled by HPD is in the area of Willowbrook Mall from SH-249 to Cutten Road.
